Function
Threaded rods (all-thread) are fully threaded along their length and used together with nuts and washers to create adjustable, tensioned connections. Studs are threaded at one or both ends, often with an unthreaded shank in between, and are used to permanently fix one end into a component (e.g. a flange or housing) while the free end receives a nut.
Range of application
Structural steelwork, suspended systems (ceiling and pipe hangers), machine construction, formwork, and general assembly wherever a long, adjustable or field-cuttable threaded connection is needed.
