High-quality shrink discs for shaft-hub connections, available as 2-part (displacement-controlled or torque-controlled) and 3-part designs for external clamping in mechanical engineering.
Working principle
Shrink discs create a backlash-free, frictional connection between shaft and hub by radial clamping. The 2-part displacement-controlled version allows assembly without a torque wrench, using a fixed displacement. The 2-part torque-controlled version and the 3-part version rely on tightening the clamping screws to a specified torque to generate the required radial pressure.
