Rigid shaft couplings of the “W”, “WLA”, “WLB” and “WK” series safely and clearance-free connect two shaft ends, consisting of a connecting sleeve and two pressure rings (or, depending on series, two shrink discs). Radial pressure on the connecting sleeve’s functional surfaces creates a frictional connection between sleeve and shaft, reliably transmitting torque, bending moments and axial forces. The “W” series offers the most compact design (standard shaft diameters 10-270 mm); “WLA”, “WLB” and “WK” are suited to larger shaft distances. As a rigid coupling, it cannot compensate shaft misalignment, so shafts must be precisely aligned before assembly.
