Flange couplings of the “FK” and “FKB” series are rigid solutions for connecting two shaft ends, consisting of 2 flange halves and 2 shrink discs (or, as a half flange coupling, one flange half and one shrink disc). They provide a safe, backlash-free connection by frictional locking. The “FKB” series positions the shrink discs rotated 180° on the flange half, useful where there is no side clearance for clamping tools. Flange couplings primarily transmit torque, but can also safely transmit bending moments and axial forces. Optional brake disc mounting is available.
